Adventures of a Novelty Fabric and Selvage Obsessed Quilter

Glad you stopped by!

I am a busy wife and the mom of 19 year old twins, a boy and a girl who are Sophomores at Syracuse University.

I have been quilting since the spring of 2008. I love novelty fabrics, colorful and unique.

Selvage quilting is addictive! Who knew the "junk" we cut off and threw out would be what I now save! I started a new tradition when I travel--visiting quilt stores! I particularly enjoy going to stores that have been named in the Quilt Sampler Featured Shop Lists-

Quilters Corner- Ithaca, NY

I had the pleasure of visiting and shopping
in this wonderful store on Sunday.
It was recently featured in the Fall/Winter 2010
issue of Quilt Sampler Magazine!
I met Merrie, one of the owners who
was delightful to chat with.
If my daughter Marisa becomes a student at Cornell,
I have already found my new home away from home.
From amazing quilts hung throughout the store,
to an incredible assortment of fabrics,
this store is a treasure!
Should you find yourself in Ithaca, NY
be sure to stop in!

  1. I loved Cornell when I was a student there--but I graduated in 1971! From the College of Human Ecology where amazing things are going on (I get their quarterly newsletter). I loved the campus, and I think I had the very best dorm room my last two years, in old Balch Hall. Good luck to your daughter.
