ReplyDeleteI recently had the good fortune to be featured on the Selvage Blog with a wallhanging, but your chair is an accomplishment beyond belief. Re-covering a chair is no easy task (I have one very similar) but to first sew about 5 yards of selvage is unbelievable! Superb job!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower with great admiration!
ReplyDeleteOops, I forgot to mention that I would love to win some selvages...they're so hard to come by, and I need to add to my stash for a new project!

ReplyDeleteOkay.....THAT is amazing!!!!I am thinking that this is doable for a chair in my sewing studio. How much fabric to you leave on your selvages?

ReplyDeleteSign me up!!! you inspire me to try a selvege progect. I have been starting to cut and keep my selvedge pieces. I have found myself noticing what kind of selvedge a fabric has as I am picking it out. I think I have caught the fever:)
ReplyDeleteAmazing chair - I love it! I've never visited your blog before, but it's great. I always visit quilt shops when I travel too, and especially the ones in Quilt Sampler. I try to take the magazines with me and have the women in the shop autograph them for me. (I hope they put staff pictures back in - I miss them.)
ReplyDeleteI am now a follower.

ReplyDeleteHow exciting to be on the selvage blog yet again. Your chair is amazing. Don't put me in the drawing as I have plenty of selvages but I couldn't resist commenting anyway.

ReplyDeleteI am one of your devoted followers and have you on a direct feed so I don't miss anything. I too have become addicted to making things with selvages, but not quite as wonderful as your chair. I have also had one post on the Selvage blog and am hoping to make another large quilt using them. Please drop my name in your hat for the drawing. Thanks much. Dar in Missouri
ReplyDeletePS Don't have a blog, but will send me email if I see my name on here.
I'd love some selvages. Been following on your blog the progress on the chair. If you put in the same room as the valances can we see both in a picture. Would love to see how they play off each other.
