Adventures of a Novelty Fabric and Selvage Obsessed Quilter

Glad you stopped by!

I am a busy wife and the mom of 19 year old twins, a boy and a girl who are Sophomores at Syracuse University.

I have been quilting since the spring of 2008. I love novelty fabrics, colorful and unique.

Selvage quilting is addictive! Who knew the "junk" we cut off and threw out would be what I now save! I started a new tradition when I travel--visiting quilt stores! I particularly enjoy going to stores that have been named in the Quilt Sampler Featured Shop Lists-

First steps!

A new chair for the new sewing room!!
The one pictured is brown,
but mine is black.

I have a sectional sofa to get rid of,
since Babe, our lab, has pretty
much destroyed most of the cushions.
I thought about recovering it in
selvages, but even I have a limit!

One small tear, and the rest is history!
I made arrangements to
have the sofa picked up July 13th
thru bulk pickup by our township
Dept of Public Works.
At least I don't have to pay to get it taken away :)

  1. I have a chair like that too w/out arms. Love it. I do need to get the plastic matt for the floor for easy gliding. Not easy to move over carpet.
