I am a busy wife and the mom of 19 year old twins, a boy and a girl who are Sophomores at Syracuse University.

I have been quilting since the spring of 2008. I love novelty fabrics, colorful and unique.

Selvage quilting is addictive! Who knew the "junk" we cut off and threw out would be what I now save! I started a new tradition when I travel--visiting quilt stores! I particularly enjoy going to stores that have been named in the Quilt Sampler Featured Shop Lists-

Happy Birthday Babe, one day early!

Tomorrow, August 18th, our wonderful
Black Lab, Babe will be 12 years old!
We adopted her from a friend who
couldn't keep her when she was 8 months old.
It was love at first sight!!
She is a wonderful pet, who brightens our days!
She still is very active, and if it wasn't for her gray "beard"
you would never think she was 12.
We love you Babe!
You will see tomorrow why her
birthday is especially important to our family!

    Mine, a Black lab mix we adopted from the Humane Assoc. shelter when he was 4, is 12 also and not showing his age except for the graying around his eyes. He's still agile, loves his walks in the woods, and is a healthy weight. Your Babe looks alot like our Quincy, who would have been 13 this year...we had to put him down last October, and he is greatly missed. He was a lab mix shelter dog also and the calmest, sweetest dog I've ever met. Both our dogs have been a fine recommendation for adopting from a shelter.

    I also have a wonderful black lab named Harlow, that I got from our local rescue...She has a personality and a half. Black dogs rock!!!
