Adventures of a Novelty Fabric and Selvage Obsessed Quilter

Glad you stopped by!

I am a busy wife and the mom of 19 year old twins, a boy and a girl who are Sophomores at Syracuse University.

I have been quilting since the spring of 2008. I love novelty fabrics, colorful and unique.

Selvage quilting is addictive! Who knew the "junk" we cut off and threw out would be what I now save! I started a new tradition when I travel--visiting quilt stores! I particularly enjoy going to stores that have been named in the Quilt Sampler Featured Shop Lists-

T shirt quilt class!

I signed uo to take a class tomake
a T shirt quilt at Mouse Creek Quilt Shop.
The first class was tonight,
and I totally had a great time.
There are 7 women taking the class.
It is being taught by a woman named Robin,
and I can tell I am going to love her style of teaching.
Her philosophy is that there are no rules:
add fabric, make the T shirt part smaller,
whatever works!!!
Pictured above are my daughter's old T shirts
that I will use as a base for the quilt!!

  1. You will have fun in the class. Robin sounds like a good teacher. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

  2. I look forward to seeing your progress. I have some t-shirts cut and backed with light interfacing ready for a quilt when I get more shirts. I don't really know what I'm doing.:)
