Adventures of a Novelty Fabric and Selvage Obsessed Quilter

Glad you stopped by!

I am a busy wife and the mom of 19 year old twins, a boy and a girl who are Sophomores at Syracuse University.

I have been quilting since the spring of 2008. I love novelty fabrics, colorful and unique.

Selvage quilting is addictive! Who knew the "junk" we cut off and threw out would be what I now save! I started a new tradition when I travel--visiting quilt stores! I particularly enjoy going to stores that have been named in the Quilt Sampler Featured Shop Lists-

Pat's Candy Bag!

Isn't this fantastic??

I am so fortunate that Pat sends me her selvages.
She is the person who told me about all the great
fabric shops I visited in Lancaster, PA.

Recently, I gave her instructions for making a tote similar to
my selvage tote that I made for my Lancaster trip.

She wrote:
Just thought you might like to see my version
of your selvage bag.
I quickly realized my selvages were not enough to
make a large tote bag.
Having plenty of candy fabric in my stash, this is what
I came up with.
Using your instructions, I randomly cut different widths of my
favorite candy fabric and stitched them to my foundation fabric.

Pat, your bag is absolutely amazing!!
