2 more Heather Ross Fabrics!
I went back to the store and dug a little deeper today
West Hill is Heather Ross' second collection of
quilting cottons for FreeSpiritFabric.
The fabric is inspired by a place very close to Heather's heart:
a small mountain just outside of Montgomery, Vermont
where Heather and her sister lived as children with
their mother in an old one room school-house during the 1970's.
The schoolhouse had once served a small isolated community
that disappeared in the early twenties, leaving crumbling stone
foundations, wild apple orchards, berry patches, century
old asparagus troughs and thousands of other secret
and wonderful places to explore.
A long, well worn footpath led from the
schoolhouse to a wild and rushing waterfall sitting
squarely under an abandoned covered bridge,
pouring into one of the deepest, clearest,
and coldest swimming holes in northern Vermont.
We hope you enjoy Heather's reminiscences
of a quiet and simple Vermont wonderland
and are certain you'll find countless
uses for these dear whimsical patterns.
