I am a busy wife and the mom of 19 year old twins, a boy and a girl who are Sophomores at Syracuse University.
I have been quilting since the spring of 2008. I love novelty fabrics, colorful and unique.
Selvage quilting is addictive! Who knew the "junk" we cut off and threw out would be what I now save! I started a new tradition when I travel--visiting quilt stores! I particularly enjoy going to stores that have been named in the Quilt Sampler Featured Shop Lists-

Placemats pinned and ready to be sewn
weird that some pictures came out dark/bad lighting.
Jill - I love the placemats. Have been collecting selvages from my friends and have a nice selection now to start working with. Thanks for sharing in Pat Sloan's Mashup. Karen
hi Jill, your pictures are light/dark because your flash on the camera is not working on some of the pics - check the setting on your camera, and make sure to give the batteries time to 'recharge' between exposures so the flash has full power for every shot. thanks for posting your progress - very inspiring!
