Adventures of a Novelty Fabric and Selvage Obsessed Quilter

Glad you stopped by!

I am a busy wife and the mom of 19 year old twins, a boy and a girl who are Sophomores at Syracuse University.

I have been quilting since the spring of 2008. I love novelty fabrics, colorful and unique.

Selvage quilting is addictive! Who knew the "junk" we cut off and threw out would be what I now save! I started a new tradition when I travel--visiting quilt stores! I particularly enjoy going to stores that have been named in the Quilt Sampler Featured Shop Lists-

Matzoh cover

Once I made the stars quilt for my dining room,
I wanted to make something out of this

Passover seder, festive meal.

It has 3 compartments, each which
you place a board of matzoh into.
The middle board is broken during the meal,
and becomes the afikomen or dessert,
Traditionally, children steal it and hide it, then
bargaining for some type of treat
before it is returned to the seder leader.

  1. That fabric is awsome! It looks exactly like matzoh. And I like the cover too. :0)

  2. Is that a pattern or did you make it up yourself?
